The installation is six wires to the barriers control board and programming is done over Bluetooth via a free app. The sensor is mounted on the barrier cabinet and monitors the area surrounding the beam. There is one safety area that is positioned under the barrier and two activation areas that can provide free entry and/or free exit. The position of the areas are adjustable via the app and the activation areas have the option to filter out pedestrians.
The EVOLOOP is a great option to replace loops, where their installation could be problematic or unreliable. An EVOLOOP is very likely to detect a person in the safety field providing further safety to the barrier system. To be compliant, the barrier must have force limitation and reverse on contact, the B614, B680H and all Magnetic barriers provide this requirement.
The EVOLOOP is particularly useful where fog and other environmental factors would be a problem for other sensors, because the EVOLOOP would not be affected.
On skirted barriers, a single EVOLOOP can cover the same areas that two XGuards would be needed for, whilst also offering an addition activation area. However, the XGuard remains the best form of safety when there is a high risk to pedestrians as it is certified as a safety device and the EVOLOOP is limited to 7 meters where the XGuard does up to 10 meters.
