FAAC operators magic for carpet warehouse
A busy site of carpet wholesaler Mercado in Leeds needed a reliable and robust
operators for their 7m long sliding metal gate. They also needed to control vehicle
movement inside the site, as well as movement in and out of the site.
At the main entrance a FAAC 820 operator was installed, as it is robust and reliable.
It's control unit stores different stop positions, allowing different settings for
pedestrian or vehicle access without the need for adding mechanical devices to the
framework. By slowing the gates before stopping it, the control unit minimises wear
and tear on the motor. For the movement inside the site, 3 620 barriers were installed,
two at the heavy goods vehicle entrance and one for the staff car park. Access
throughout the site is controlled via a combination of entry systems including
proximity and swipe cards.
