FAAC barriers rise to the challenge in Cardiff City Centre
FAAC B680H barriers have transformed the entrance to a Cardiff city centre car park. Due to the
busy city centre location it was necessary to create an efficient and reliable system so as to create
the best impression for the occupiers and their visitors and to eliminate unauthorised access. A
replacement system was required and the B680H was seen as the ideal solution.
The car park is part of a multi‐tenanted site with a Premier Inn and a number of legal firms. Cardiff
based installers Ceaton Security Services installed two B680H 24v hybrid barriers with 3 metre
beams, complete with optimal safety mechanisms, flashing lights and additional signage, reusing the
existing access control system to maintain security levels.

The FAAC B680H with 24V hydraulic pump can operate on continuous cycles at high speed, making it
ideal for heavy use sites like this. It includes an integrated encoder for complete movement control
and reversal of the beam on obstacle detection. Programmable red and green flashing LEDS
integrated along the beam and around the top of the cabinet ensure the barrier really stands out.
